This is one of my favorite place in Montreal. The fusion of japanese and peruvian is the most geniuses idea. The flavors go well all together. And Nikkei is portraying perfectly that! The place is cute and the menu is incredible! Their drinks too!
The word that describes it: incredible! We loved the experience, the food was perfectly balanced, you could feel the explosion of flavors in your mouth, the service was too good, the drinks incredible, unique cocktails and if you are like me and cannot tolerate the exaggerated amounts of sugar they use in Canada for desserts, I promise you will not regret it. Their desserts were perfectly balanced, I loved them! Unfortunately, I don't have many photos of the dishes since I was so focused on eating that I forgot!
Wow! We were impressed from start to finish. From the cool aesthetics of the place, to the perfect service, to the AMAZING food. Truly unique one-of-a-kind flavours, it’s a 10/10 for the 5 tapas we tried. A must-try concept. Oh and the drinks are all in-house handcrafted mixology drinks. Don’t miss their Pisco. Can’t wait to be back, and to try their other affiliated restaurants, like the Barranco.

I visited this Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant about three weeks ago and tried their "MTL a Table" discovery menu. The food was excellent—beautifully presented and full of flavor—but it is definitely on the pricier side compared to similar restaurants in Montreal offering comparable dishes. While I’d recommend it to friends for the unique fusion experience and quality of the food, I’m unsure if I’d return myself, considering the cost. It’s worth a visit if you’re looking to try something special and don’t mind the splurge!
Restaurant Review Had an amazing time at this spot! The atmosphere is fantastic—warm, inviting, and perfect for a night out. The food was excellent, especially the scallops, which were cooked to perfection. Sitting at the counter was a great choice, and chatting with Thomas made the experience even better. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and added a personal touch to the evening. If you go, don’t miss out on the Tokyo Sour—it’s a must-try! We’ll definitely be back.
Just had an absolutely impeccable meal here. Beautifully decorated, open kitchen tapas restaurant, we had 8 dishes and they were all delicious. Service can be optimized but the food is truly the star of the show here. Will absolutely return!
The service was good. Drinks were amazing and the atmosphere there was perfect. The food was alright. Nothing special, for the price I would expect more.
